Insurance Technologies Corporation (ITC), headquartered in Carrollton, Texas, and Compare.com, based in Richmond, Va., have partnered to help provide more auto insurance quotes to online insurance shoppers, the companies announced.

Compare.com works with more than 90 insurance brands to deliver car insurance quote comparisons to customers and uses ITC’s comparative rating services as an option for integration with carriers. Once users are returned their personalized quotes, they may lock in the policy of their choice directly with the carrier online, over the phone, or through an agent.

Since 2003, ITC’s rating services has enabled third parties to use the features available in its comparative rater from any Internet-based system and has provided easy access to carriers nationwide.

“ITC has made it easy for Compare.com to quickly integrate several of our carriers in various states, accelerating their adoption of the Compare.com business model, ” said Compare.com CEO Andrew Rose.

Compare.com is a limited liability corporation majority owned by the Admiral Group LLC, the U.K.’s second largest auto insurer and a member of the FTSE 100. It currently offers car insurance comparison services for U.S. consumers in 48 states.
