Progressive auto Insurance non Owners policy
Non-Owned Vehicle insurance includes a group of coverages that provide Liability insurance for vehicles used for your business that aren't listed on your policy.
Vehicles that are owned by your business or used regularly for your business should be scheduled on your commercial auto policy to be covered for liability. Occasionally there might be situations when your business uses vehicles not listed on your policy. In these situations, Non-Owned Vehicle insurance can provide Liability protection.
There are several ways to protect yourself with Non-Owned Vehicle insurance from Progressive, depending on the needs of your business, including:
This coverage provides liability protection when an employee occasionally has to drive his or her personally owned vehicle for business purposes. This assumes that the vehicle is not owned, registered or contracted in your name or on your behalf.
Hired Auto coverage provides liability protection when you're driving a hired, leased, rented or borrowed vehicle.
Any Auto coverage protects vehicles that you purchase during your policy period with the same liability coverage you carry for the vehicles already listed on your policy. Any Auto coverage applies to both hired and non-owned autos.
If you or your employees will ever drive vehicles for your business that aren't listed on your commercial auto policy, you should carry some combination of the Non-Owned Vehicle insurance coverages.
Some coverage is already provided by your commercial vehicle policy. For example, if your vehicle is out of service due to a breakdown, then a temporary substitute vehicle is automatically covered in most circumstances.
Employer's Non-Ownership, Hired Auto and Any Auto coverages use limits to describe the maximum amount your insurance company will pay. These limits are automatically the same limits as those you selected for your Liability insurance.
